A watch service procedure is designed to ensure that every timepiece leaving our workshop complies with its original functional and aesthetic specifications. Each movement is completely overhauled and each case and bracelet is meticulously cleaned, and restored where aplicable. Timekeeping accuracy and water-resistance are rigorously tested to guarantee the level of quality and reliability you naturally expect from a horologist.

We service all styles of mechanical wind-up/automatic , as well as quartz timepieces.

At this stage we are only accepting Quartz clocks, not mechanical clocks, due to the workload.

All watches are still serviced.

All repairs are carried out onsite by our qualified watchmakers and come with 12 or 24 month guarantee on all major repairs. Being an authorized service center for various brands, means the job is done by us in our purpose built workshop, which is situated just upstairs from our retail store.

Mechanical Movements

Mechanical movements - whether an automatic wind or a manual wind - are comprised of small gears, miniature screws and hair thin springs. To combine all these minuscule pieces, and create a working, accurate timepiece is an amazing feat to begin with.

Mechanical timepeices, especially modern ones with jeweled movements, can last forever with the right care. They can, as well, be brought back to life if in reasonable condition.

Magnetism

If a timepiece suddenly begins running extremely fast it is usually an indication that the hairspring coils are magnetized, causing the coils to stick together. Correcting this is one of the simplest tasks for a watchmaker. For this we use only the machines approved for service centre use, it not only detects magnetis, but also demagnitizes, both mechanical and quartz timepieces.

Tangled Coils
This could be caused by a shock to the movement. It is a  common cause of a mechanical timepeice running extremely fast. The coils are entangled, and this shortens the rotation of the balance wheel and significantly increases the beat rate. The good news is that the fix is fairly simple for a qualified watchmaker, and takes less then 2 minutes to do.
